As Veronica's older sister, Diana took charge to get Vero medical help upon learning of her diagnosis in Mexico.  Diana stood, played, laughed, and layed by Vero's side for the months she was ill.  During this time Diana became the older sister she should have always been and did her best to help Vero be brave and strong.

Paula was Vero's best friend in the world. As sisters, the bond they shared overcame many boundaries and distances. During Vero's fight with cancer Paula stood bravely by and comforted her sister everyday always sharing her love.  Paula was one of the many forces helping Vero smile every day. More importantly, Paula became the glue that held the rest of the family together.
